Key Features and Real-life examples of how to use those features

INTEGRATIONS

Mallchimp has over 200 possible integrations, including quarespace, Shopity, Stripe, Drupal, and Google My Business. You can see the full list here. In our own Mailchimp Account, we've integrated everything possible, such as our website, payment providers, and Facebook. Integrating all the apps, we use daily allows us to collect more acturate data s0 we can fully understand our audience and know which emails to send to which follower.

AUTOMATIONS

Mailchimp's automation Capabilities get activated by your subscriber's activities. For example, when anyone subscribes to the Visuable newsletter, they automatically receive the email below that thanks to our followers for subscribing and tells them a little more about Visuable, Don't be afraid to keep it short and sweet! Automation is key to freeing up your time to focus on other important business matters such as strategy.

You can also pre-set automation when your subscribers download a freebie. Freebies are very helpful in capturing subscribers. The automated sequence that comes after the freebies nurtures your relationship with the follower and persuades them to book a call and become a client hopefully.

Once they hit download on your freebie, they should receive a series of emails to ensure they've actually downloaded the freebie, saying thank you and telling them a little more about yourself.

Recently, we've set up a freebie automation for our GoDigital Guide. The automation is normally a sequence of 6 or more emails, each with a strategic content that helps to build the know, like, and trust factor, but below we’re sharing a strategy for a three email automation you can create:

After download: Thank you for downloading!

Day 2: Share a case study

Customizable Forms

Sign-up forms are crucial when it comes to engaging with your customers. Mailchimp allows you to create customizable forms with your branding for any pop-ups and embeds you may need to build your subscriber list.

With our Mini Mailchimp Audit, you can see below that we've created a customizable Mailchimp form that showcases our logo and branding so our audience will familiarize themselves with our branding. Once a subscriber hits "subscribe," the subscriber will then automatically be added to our audience list with the tag "Mailchimp." This way we can ensure we understand exactly what that follower is looking for.

Reports & Analytics

Measuring the outcome of your emails is vital to understanding what you've done well and what you can improve on. Mailchimp has an analytics dashboard that is very easily digestible, showcasing how many opens, clicks, and replies your email receives. We use the reports to see how well each campaign has performed and where our audience has clicked.

You can see from the image below our campaign had 42.9% opens and 14.3% clicks. That means that more people opened our email than clicked on the items within this email. This tells me that our Subject Line and Preview Text was good, but we must make the buttons and calls to action more interesting to get subscribers to open the links. This report information is very useful as each email we send we can improve on depending on how the last one performed.

With Mailchimp's various integrations, automation, forms, targeted emails, and report capabilities, the platform allows you to build your email list so you can send impactful, well-designed newsletters. If your business is ready to leverage impactful email marketing, Mailchimp is an excellent tool.
